SCAPIS is a unique study where 30 000 volunteers in the age of 50-65 years have been reqruited. The participants have had a number of examinations and filled in questioners about their lifestyle. The study is a collaboration between six universities and university hospitals and the main funding agency is the Swedish Heart and LungFoundation.
